In a vibrant display of educational possibilities, The Students Visa recently played host to a transformative event - the Canada Admissions Day that happened on the 19th of August 2023 at the Hilton Colombo. This exceptional gathering brought together ambitious students and representatives from esteemed Canadian universities such as the University of Regina, University Canada West, Algoma University, International Business University and Yorkville University under one roof, fostering a dynamic exchange of information and paving the way for promising futures. The event served as a gateway for students to explore the academic avenues that Canada has to offer, while also gaining direct access to university representatives who are well-versed in guiding prospective applicants towards their dreams.

Our skilled counsellors played a key role in helping students understand their needs and with helping them identify which universities or courses are best suited for them, further giving the students an enriching experience at the event. The counsellors were on hand to answer questions, provide insights and guide students through application processes. The representatives from the Canadian Universities were crucial in giving the ambitious students an idea of what life and culture is like in Canada. The first-hand information definitely helped students make informed decisions about their futures. Their gentle and well-versed delivery of information, options and advice helped students understand if they are making the right decisions or not.

The students were also given an opportunity to put in applications on the spot without the hassle of having to pay an application fee with the help of counsellors to guide them through the process. This was one of the captivating aspects of our event. The wait for an admission after a submission of an application can be long and this event helped remove that step in the application process. While carrying out this spot admission process the students were also with a chance to have a face-to-face interaction with the university representatives. These interactions gave students the opportunity to ask questions and clarify doubts before putting in an application. Therefore, this event ensured that students didn’t face any financial barriers during their application process and helped make their higher education dreams more attainable.

Looking back, the event was surely more than just an event. It was a space for students to kickstart their higher education in Canada and start achieving their career goals. It was an opportunity for us to make a change in these students’ lives by giving them easier access to these Canadian Universities. By offering on-the-spot admissions, application fee waivers, and expert counselors, Canadian universities showcased their dedication to nurturing the next generation of leaders, thinkers, and innovators.
